Class 6

Welcome to Class 6!

A Message from Mr Wilson:

I hope that you have all had a great summer! Miss Hunt and Mrs Parker are the teaching assistants who support learning in the Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3 and 4). Please ensure that your child has their name in all items of clothing - especially jumpers and P.E kits. Also, packed lunches need your child’s name and class to be clearly labelled. Thank you for your support, we are looking forward to a happy and productive year in class!

PE is Thursday & Friday

Homework for this half term is to be completed by the October half term holidays. Children will have a selection of activities to choose from and complete.

Spellings are set on Tuesday and will be tested the following Tuesday. These will begin in a few weeks after assessments have been made.

Children are encouraged to bring in their reading book from home every day. Once completed and signed by an adult they place it in the reading box. An adult discusses their reading and your child may choose another book. Throughout the week they have time to read during ERIC (Everyone Reading In Class) time and guided reading. We also share a whole class read at the end of the day.

For good behaviour and hard work the children will continue to receive smilies.
For the last 20 minutes every Friday afternoon Class 6 has 'Golden Time' to celebrate their achievements from the week.  Also at the end of every day we will choose 'Star of the Day'. In addition to this we will work as a team to earn 'stars in a jar' for class treats for working well together.

For more detailed information on what we will be doing this half term please take a look at our class newsletter.
