A Message from Miss D'Anzi
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and is looking forward to 2019.
This half term will be a very exciting one as we starting a new topic all about the Vikings in History and wolves in our English topic.
Year 5 will also start swimming lessons on Wednesdays – please remember to label clothes and bring swimming kits.
PE is every Monday and Swimming in on a Wednesday
Spelling: Children will be set spellings on a Tuesday to be tested the following Friday.
Times Tables: Children will be set a times table to learn on a Friday with their homework to be tested on a Monday (after a week of learning)
English and Maths: Homework will be set on a Friday and is due in on Wednesday. Please help your child to hand their homework in on time as children with late homework will lose golden time.
Reading: Children in year 5 and 6 should be reading regularly at home.
We will listen to children read in school at least once a week. Reading books must be brought into school every day and will be checked regularly. Please listen to your child read at home and make comments in their reading record.
