Class 1 Home Learning

Hello everyone! We hope everyone is staying safe and well.

Dear Children,
We are missing you so much! To keep you busy, every week we will upload a week of challenges. Every challenge has a different colour so by the end of the week you should have made a rainbow! Good Luck!

Dear Parents,
The weekly challenge document is there to give you a base of activities to complete over a week. We would love the children to do as much as they can, but we absolutely understand that many of you are working from home yourselves and some may find the idea of 'home schooling' very daunting! With that in mind we have tried to provide a range of different activities, even if you get one ticked off count that as a win!
One of the most important things to keep doing is reading, encourage this all the time. Read recipes or shopping lists, share bedtime stories, play word hunt games, spot tricky words in story books, anything where children are reading will be perfect.
And remember, play is at the very heart of Early Years learning. If your children are playing with cars, dolls, jigsaws or Lego, then they are still learning, they’re practising language, communication, relationships, counting, shapes, the list goes on.
You will all be doing a great job!
You can also send us photos that we can share in our gallery, we would love to see what you have all been up to!
Please send photos to class1photos@cdatstpaulsprimary.co.uk

Much love, stay safe
Mrs Owen and Mrs Seddon

We have two classes in the Foundation Stage, led by our teachers
Mrs Seddon and Mrs Owen.

Our teaching assistants are Mrs Edwards and Mrs Prickett

Our doors open at 8.45am and the school day ends at 3.15pm.
Our classroom is organised into different areas of learning and children are free to explore all areas of the classroom, as well as outdoors.
We provide learning challenges and stimulating activities in each area to engage children's imaginations and to scaffold their independent learning.
Children will also take part in group work led by an adult, including maths, reading, writing and phonics.
