Class 9 2018-2019

Mrs Moorhouse

Class 9

Message from Mrs Moorhouse,

I hope everyone had a lovely rest over the holidays.

As you know the SATs for year 6 are rapidly approaching and over the next few weeks we will be doing lots of revision in school. It is vital that children attend school every day and are not late particularly during SATs week.

Some dates for your diary:

Y6 SATs week beginning 13th  May

School is Closed on:

Thursday 2nd May       Election Day

Monday 6th May          Bank Holiday

PE
Basketball will be on a Friday. Please ensure all PE kits are in school.

Swimming is for Year 5 only on a Wednesday.

Homework
English and Maths: Homework will be set on a Friday and is due in on Wednesday. Please help your child to hand their homework in on time as children with late homework will lose golden time.

Reading: Children in year 5 and 6 should be reading regularly at home.

We will listen to children read in school at least once a week. Reading books must be brought into school every day and will be checked regularly. Please listen to your child read at home and make comments in their reading record.

For more detailed information on what we will be doing this half term please take a look at our class newsletter.
