Year 4F 2021 - 2022
Welcome to Class 6!
A Message from Mr Wilson
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful half term break. We are a mixed Year 3/4 class and Mrs Parker supports us with our learning.
What we are learning this half term:
Our Christian value is: Perseverance
English: We will be reading 'Ignis', an adventure story about a dragon who has no fire. The children will create their own dragon and an adventure story about their quest.
Science: Light & Shadows
History: The Romans
PSHE: Fake is a Mistake - being truthful to yourself
PE: Athletics (Tuesday - Outdoors) and Dodge ball (Mondays- Indoors)
French: What's the time?
Homework is given out on a weekly basis this half term. This is handed out on Friday to be handed in the following Wednesday.
Spellings will be set on a Friday to be tested on the following Friday.
Please have your reading folder in school every day. It is important that you read at home at least three times per wek and have your reading record signed. Adults in school try to read with children once per week. Please ensure all uniform and PE kits have the children's names in them.
BBC Bitesize - A primary school resource for children studying Key Stage 2 Maths, English and Science, featuring game activities and tests.
Thinkuknow - If you are 7, 8, 9 or 10, I bet you probably like to use the computer for fun. Why not take a look at this website to help you go on the internet in a safe way and know who to talk to if you are worried.
Times Table Rock Stars- this fantastic app aims to help the children become more fluent with recalling their multiplication facts. Children all have log in details and work is set by the teacher. Please see me if you are experiencing any difficulties (this has just been updated for Class 6).
Topmarks Daily Ten- short maths activities that the children in Class 6 should be familiar with.
