Welcome back!

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you've had a restful summer. We're all very much looking forward to welcoming you back to St Paul's tomorrow. Just a reminder, school gates open at 8.40am and classes begin at 8.45am. 

I am absolutely delighted to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of St Paul’s Primary School. It is a real privilege to be joining such a special community, and I am genuinely excited about getting to know the children, families, staff and wider school community.

For the past five years, I have been proud to serve as the Headteacher of Romiley Primary School. During that time, I have helped lead the school to achieve progress measures in the top 1% of schools nationally in some areas, particularly for children with SEND and those who are disadvantaged. However, I firmly believe that a great education is about so much more than academic outcomes. It is about ensuring that every child feels valued, supported, inspired and able to flourish. 

My Christian faith is an important part of who I am and shapes my belief in the value, dignity and potential of every child. I have been married for 20 years and have three children, so family life and the experiences of children are very close to my heart.

Outside of school, I love adventures and spending time in nature. I am also passionate about running and cycling, and enjoy any opportunity to get outdoors and explore.

I am particularly excited about the opportunity to work alongside the experienced and committed governors and staff at St Paul’s. Together, I look forward to building on the many strengths of the school and ensuring that we provide the very best opportunities for every child.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you all and becoming part of the St Paul’s family. I know that the partnership between home and school is incredibly important, and I look forward to working closely with you in the years ahead.
