Class 1 - RNLI visit

Lesson: EYFS

Class: Reception Year: 2021 - 2022

Today we had a very special visit from Helen from the RNLI. She came to talk to use about water safety and spoke to us about all the wonderful work the RNLI does with saving lives at sea.

She taught us about the dangers around water in our local area and what to look out for. She taught us about the star float technique which could save your life!

Mrs Owen dressed up as one of the life boat crew! Then we all got to dress up in some RNLI costumes.
We have been given a 'spot the dangers' worksheet to take home and share with our grown ups.

The children were in awe of the brave rescues of the life guards and life boat crew. We watched some videos of real life rescues. See the link below for more information on the RNLI and their amazing charity.

If you could donate to this worthy cause there will ways to do this online. They are true every day heroes!
