Reception - Awesome Autumn!

Class: Reception Year: 2025 - 2026

We have explored the topic of Autumn and loved creating and learning this half term. We learnt about harvest, in particular wheat and combine harvesters, and learnt how flour is made!
We learnt about autumn colours, the seasons, Diwali, and had a special pumpkin week to finish our first half term at school.

We also took part in World Mental Health week and looked at the story of Sadako Sasaki and the 1000 paper cranes. This signifies hope and peace. Every class in school made or decoated paper cranes, we decorated a huge peice of paper with pictures of things that make us happy. We then folded this into a paper crane which is proudly on display in our reading garden.
