Reception - Dear England

Class: Reception Year: 2025 - 2026

On Thursday morning we had a lot to discuss regarding the footie.

We watched the highlights of the England game and paused after each goal, discussing how the players were feeling in each moment.

We discussed how they were elated, excited, energised and eager to win, and then when the other team scored how they felt sad and disappointed after each goal and then finally how they felt after losing the game.

We talked about that feeling of disappointment and perhaps anger when you don’t win something,

We talked about how the players need to show resilience and be calm.

We talked about perseverance and how important it is to try again once you've failed the first time.

We decided that we wanted to show the England team some love and tell them how proud we are of all them. So, we made medals and messages, and we hope it might cheer them up.
