Reception - World Book Day celebrations

We have had a special week focussing on the author Julia Donaldson. We have loved looking at some of her books, many of which the children knew already.

• On Tuesday Stickman arrived! He had lost his family and so we cheered him up by making him some stick friends and family. We collected our sticks from the garden and used material, pipe- cleaners and sticky eyes, to bring our sticks to life!
• On Wednesday we were sent some challenges from Zog and Madam Dragon! We had to complete all 5 challenges to
  win our golden star medal.
• On World Book Day we had a great time dressed up as our favourite book characters. We enjoyed a costume parade, shared our favourite stories and had a visit from Year 4 to be our reading buddies.
